OUR ACTIVITIES - TAI FOREST LODGES
To be in the heart of nature and discover the best it has to offer.
01
Chimpanzee Watching
In order to see the chimpanzees in their natural environment, they had to be accustomed to the presence of the eco-guides (habituation). They hunt in groups and are identifiable by nut-cracking, footprints, nests, droppings, drumming on tree foothills and calling.
Chimpanzees participate in the protection of the forest because of their long life span, their large movements (several kilometres per day) and their consumption of fruit, they ensure the dissemination of seeds essential to the regeneration of the forest.

02
Boat trip
Crossing the Taï National Park from East to West, the Hana River passes at the foot of Mount Niénokoué and flows towards the Touraco Ecotel for about 20 km. The crossing can last 1 to 2 hours with the possibility of observing crocodiles, birds and the magnificent landscape along the banks of this water source.
03
Climbing Mount Niénokoué
Mount Niénokoué is a multi-storey mountain of 396m located at the confluence of the Hana and Meno rivers.
It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to climb; the sometimes steep slopes are relatively easy to climb. The summit of Mount Niénokoué offers a breathtaking view of the majestic primary forest of the Taï National Park. The sunrise or sunset at the top of this mountain is a breathtaking sight.

04
Discovery Walk
Ethnobotanical walk in the forest during which our eco-guides present the specificities of the trees and plants of the Taï forest. An invaluable biodiversity in an exceptional state of conservation!
A Biosphere Reserve, the Taï National Park with its 5,000 km2 still contains a remarkable biodiversity under its thick canopy, thanks to the authenticity of its intact tropical forest, offering refuge to rare and endemic species.
Such an environment is naturally conducive to the abundance and variety of wildlife.
